Dumb Ideas: Starting a User Group

I decided the idea of trying to start a Microsoft user group in the Hampton Roads area is just not going to happen.  At least not right now.  I'm too tired to try to analyze the possible reasons why it doesn't seem to draw any interest, so I'm not going to guess.  After sending out roughly 50 e-mails and posting on blogs and others posting on prominent blogs for me (very much appreciated actually - thank you), I got a whopping 8 responses.   To those eight:  THANK YOU.  I really appreciate that you took the time to at least show some interest.

Don't give up now! 8 is a great number to start with! User Groups generally start out small and then grow through word of mouth.
