Blog-Pointer: Setting up Your MS App-V Lab

This is fantastic. Another great post from J.C. on the App-V blog site. I think I've setup at least four separate App-V (then SoftGrid) lab environments on VMware in the past and none were identical. Ad hoc is the best way to describe it. Same goes for my Thinstall labs. This post has some great info for setting up a lab for App-V 4.5, using Windows Server 2008 as the base environment, with IIS7, certificates, and so forth. Now, if only Microsoft would make App-V completely FREE. I would like to see either VMware go "FREE" with ThinApp, or Microsoft do it. The whole industry is stuck at top-dead-center right now because of cost.
