Oil is hitting over $140/barrel. Gas at the pump fell a bit, but is said to be going back up. Fires burn out of control in California, Arizona and North Carolina. The dollar continues to fall. The DJI fell over 400 points in two days. The Taliban is regrouping. Airlines are cutting back. Automotive makers are pinching costs to stay afloat. Local utilities are raising rates.
And yet: Microsoft, Dell and HP posted significant revenue gains.
