Do's and Don'ts from the Field

• Don't - link GPO's to the root of your domain unless someone points a loaded gun at your head and orders you to do it.
• Don't - join your imaging reference machine to a domain before capturing the snapshot, especially with Symantec Ghost (eeew!).
• Do - try to learn a little about all aspects of your IT environment.
• Don't - try to master all of them at once.
• Do - take your customers/users comments seriously.
• Don't - disregard their importance.
• Do - maintain an isolated test environment that mirrors the production environment.
• Don't - use your production environment for testing.
